So, I chose an silhouette that I liked and am working on a rough design. I wanted the demon to be a kind of "eater of souls" (I know kind of cheesy :p) so this is it in it's initial stage. Critiques welcomed!

I like that you opened the mouth from when I've saw it last...

I would say I know it's a tendency of yours to get fixated on a particular detail of a character (in this case the teeth perhaps) and you spend a lot of time on detail that could be spent on exploring the creative element of the character as a whole.

Using the advantages of the layers of photoshop, perhaps "lock in" this particular jaw and then move on to other elements of the character and start playing with new silhouettes to hash out further possibilities as far as what you're alluding to in the stick like protrusions or maybe robe/clothing or arm detail options?

Might make for an interesting experiment as far as your process.

I.e.

So this is my 15 variants of sillouetes...

among these I chose X

I decided to create a jaw of Y for X.... which inspired me to create costume variations A,B,C of which I felt B was strongest...

something like that.

Might be fun.
